Hey everyone just wondering if someone could help with some photos or info.
I have bought a DTM V2 off a guy and he gave me all the parts for the deluxe V2 kit which comes with everything to install it on a type block but i didnt get instructions or the dvd.
I have got most of it together pretty easily but there are a few bits i dont. It came with a few aluminum plates which im not sure where they go. The plates come in the air tin sealing hardware

Just wondering if anything could put up some photos.
If so that would be amazing
Cheers Matt

Hi Blink,
OZ or UK, the Cheers gave you away, ha.
If you look at the T-4 store you will see the V3 4 and 5 kits with the extra aluminum sealing tin. You need that tin to use the sealing rubber in the bag.
Long story, but I wound up with on of Oregon Performance Kits and it came with a cardboard template, the entire kit was in a barn for years covered in rat piss and poop.
I can't make my photos small enough post so go to my photobucket site and page 4 and check out the cardboard template. Photo.

Here's a direct link to the picture in question:

Its actually pretty obvious where things go if you have a T4 engine in front of you.
...pretty much everything will only fit one way.
The front tin (front is front) on the V2 setup won't have the oil cooler air outlet, as its intended for use with an external cooler.
If you are into metalworking any you can actually adapt std T1 front and rear tin in an afternoon, only requiring the 2 side bits with the half round cutouts over the heads. It can enclose underneath//seal around the crank pulley better. Just make sure you have room to get the belt on/off.
Pre 71 T1 tin (pre-doghouse) won't have the exhaust hole for the oil cooler.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Re: DTM V2 Help
Im aussie hahaha
Sorry maybe i worded it wrong. I have got all the big tin in place all the ones on that paper template and have it all pretty close to how it should look.
But in the parts bag that come with the kit there are a few much smaller pieces that im not sure where they go. They come in the bag with the rubber seal and bolts.
In my link of the store they have them laying flat with the seal.
Sorry maybe i will take some photos and see if i can show you guys what i mean. Thanks so much for the help.
I did see your photo bucket nextgen when i was looking into building a kit myself but i had one come up pretty cheap around me which made things super easy. Love your bug tho.
Thanks guys

Re: DTM V2 Help
Post up a pic of the mystery bits, will be interesting to figure out what they are for.
Might want to ask Charles at the type4store as well,as its a legit DTM:
He will
A) Know,
and
B) likely just send you the missing instructions.

Re: DTM V2 Help
Not being able to actually see them, I'll make an absolute WAG they are stiffener brackets to hold the tin sections together at 90 degrees without floppin, probably front tin to sides (over heads) tin. (front is front)
