Low oil pressure.
I Am one the testing phase of a type 4 engine build. When I spin the engine without plugs the OP does not get over 15lbs, reluctantly. I am using "break in" oil which looks mighty thin. What could be the issue? Oil pump? Where should I look first?

Re: Low oil pressure.
Wait, what is the problem? You crank for prime, or pre-prime a fresh build (my favorite method), or crank to start it (also a good method) and not bother with that ritual.
If you have oil flowing enough to read pressure, your fine. Anything beyond that is starter/battery torture

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

Oil pressure falls off a cliff at low RPM, +100 RPM can be 10 PSI difference at idle.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
