CSP upright conversion on CU case

Post by mark-s »

Has anyone used a CU code case for the CSP upright conversion?

According to the instructions, the enclosed breather needs to milled down to a height of 142.5mm from the crank centreline, but using that measurement, we've ended up with this:

So clearly more material needs to be removed, which will reduce the measurement by another 5-7mm. We have all the CSP conversion parts so mocking it up isn't a problem, but it seems odd that the measurement is incorrect. Any one had any experience of this?

Jake Raby made this video and mentions the DTM and the Cali Style are the only styles that you use the stock case.

that said the CSP Kit is similar to the Cali Style UPRIGHT CONVERSION MANUAL design, therefore you have to just cut to the height of an early case and figure out how to bolt up the Stand.

If you have to do that much machine work to make the case work, it might be worth your while to machine the case for the Sharp Built Porsche fan housing conversion.

No worries, it's my own fault for using a CU code case! We got it sorted, you can see progress here:
