914 in Manx dune buggy

Hey guys I've a got 914 1.7 motor given to me for my project Manx dune buggy I have looked at upright conversions and etc my question is will the type 1 head bolt onto the type block so that I could have better exhaust options or am I just stuck with one or the other thanks in advance

No....type 4 heads are different. Type 1 will not bolt up...and there are a range of exhaust options out there for type 4....both with and without heater boxes. Just do some searching here in the type4rum.
