Agree, they won't last in a bus. They'll go in a beetle, an upgrade to what's in there now

Much better plan then, still IMHO way too pricey, and the compression ratio will be too low unless you use a very mild cam. esp. with 94s.
(Where did I get Bus from? probably the 94mm suggestion, 96s in a Bay Bus are not usually recommended, but work fine in a Bug)

Note: The std chambers + bus pistons (basically bus engine) or US spec 914 (5cc dish) 94s with 2L chambers are ~equivalent CCs. The flattop 96s would get you into a somewhat more reasonable CR range...
Web73 ---Web 494 on ~102-104 LC at most, and it will still be less than optimal CR for the 494 with 94mm flattops.

The ~55cc chambers work out better with a 2056, allowing a ~decent duration cam.
The ~65cc 2L chambers work out better on a ~2270. You really don't want to flycut for compression.

The AMCs with only the CNC 2L ports, relocated 12mm plug will be much cheaper, work out better, and will be much longer lived. (IMHO)

Good luck whichever way you go, and start a build thread!
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Thanks for the tips, I might start a build thread once the heads get here but its gonna be a slow build, have only just got another one running. Sourcing good parts requires patience...
