It would be faster with the correct cam for the rest of the engine.

You have a stock low compression Bus engine with tiny heads and much too much cam.
It's not going to go.

Put flattop 96s in it with 1mm deck and HD springs, has a chance.
Heads are still too small for high RPM use, a Web73 would be a much better plan.

Web73 will make a lot more low end Tq but will be done by ~5K with those heads.
(The 2L bus heads limit you above ~4K regardless)
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

How do you know the required compression for any camshaft?
For example you told me 9,1 at least for the cb 2202 cam

Dynamic compression ratio

You generally want to shoot for ~6.5-7:1, a bit more if you are water cooled and/or running premium fuel.
(Punch in the stock cam numbers and its right in there)
This is for carbs or port injection: Direct injection allows much higher compression.
