stock rod length and pin height type 4 2.0

Post by Paul H »

Anyone know what the rod length and pin height is on a stock type 4 2.0 motor ? A friend is fitting a 78.4mm DPR crank so we need to figure out what the best T1 rod and piston combo is

Wow an instaneous response :D
Thanks
So using readily available 137mm type 1 rod and a 35mm pin height Type 1 94mm piston we need spacers of about 10mm which
will cause pushrod tube troubles

AA pistons have a forged 96mm kit with a 30.08mm pin height . also Porsche length rods 135mm . heaps of options using Type 1 rods . I've just finished a 103 X 78 using 30.08 pin height and 135mm rods . no clearance issues and still using the standard pushrod tubes .

I'll have a look at those but I try to avoid 2618 race type slipper skirt pistons. The Keith Black hypereutectics seem to have disappeared
