I had a 67 baja just kinda dropped in my lap just over a year ago and never questioned it. A friend of mine was moving and didn't have the funds/space/know-how to fix it up so she asked if I was interested (of course I said yes) and she signed the title over the next day (can't really complain there.)
The plans for Betty (she named her) are to get her to be a desert baja forlight wheeling trips and just to blast around in.
Current specs:
1776 engine
HPMX 40 single w/ risers (swapped out the 32/36 DFAV it came with)
Swapped the straight pipe stinger for an EMPI baja style w/ muffler (the neighbors better appreciate it)
Swing arm trans (hopefully swap to IRS this summer)
Sitting on 30x9.5 BFG's
