Which Fuel Pump Flange to Use?

John C. of aircooled.net says he can get bakelite fuel pump flanges and Cip1.com and CB Performance say they have OEM VW fuel pump flanges.
I bought some of the OEM VW fuel pump flanges and they look like they are made of black plastic.
Which would be better?

Bakelite has properties that are resistant to Heat and Chemicals whereas Plastic doesn't hold up as well. If you could get OG I would go that route, if not then the Bakelite but that is just an opinion of mine.
