seat belts

Post by weldvair »

My Ghia vert is now drivable but, I forgot about seat belts. I have been working on it every day
for over a year & am anxious to drive it but, do not know what or where to buy seat belts nor
how to mount.

There is a mounting place on the tunnel for a bolt but, where does the other end of the seat belt mount?

Where can I buy seat belts?

Thanks Don :)

on a Ghia, you have the "Lobster Claw" seatbelts which are the coolest thing ever. As a ME, you will love the design.

What year is yours again?

Alrighty then, a quick phone call to get information.
For future reference, the top pick up point for the shoulder belt is 3ish inches aft of the door jam, above the door panel.
The bottom mounting point is even with the aft end of the aluminum sill plate, and 3 3/8" inboard from the ridge in the sill plate, and runs vertically, down into the floor pan.

With the missing upper mounts, weldvair is looking to use a lap belt.
