Things to consider for a tranny swap

Post by DrElch »

Hi Guys,

I'm getting a freeway flyer built for my 72' Bay window right now.
It has a 2.4l engine with heaps of torque.

Since I have to swap the tranny, I have to get the engine and old tranny out anyways.
Are there some jobs to do on your bus while all of that stuff is out?
I've replaced the CV joints only recently so they are fine.

I've been thinking of cleaning the tank maybe.

Any other jobs you'd do in such a situation

Replace the fuel level sender in the tank while it's out. Those things are a nightmare trying to replace with the engine in.
