Not just yet, will do what I can without droping the engine since I have a few days left on the 30 day tag. The engine drop is a good idea since I should pull and clean the tank. Then I will do the rest of the bushings. The turn signal switch came in today and I swapped it in and WhaaLaa! All my lights work now! Gonna get to try it out in the snow this weekend.fusername wrote:doing an engine drop to do all the bushings? worth it for shifter feel, and anytime is a good time to repack CVs, esp if ur gonna lift it.

you will be impressed. air down and drift a few corners
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

Re: Birddogs Baja Bus
Had good weather valid tags and the bus running ok, so off she went to the car wash:
Dad gave me some naugahyde stuff to redo seats and stuff
The gas pedal and under floor linkage were worn the other day and the pedal stuck down when the rod got jammed
so I welded up the holes and reshaped em with the grinder and dremel
And new front shifter bushing and a quick shift kit for both the bus and bug

Maybe I will get back to working on this. I have the urge to go camping and was looking at a pop up/tent camper but figured I already have this project started, resurrect it.
