Alternative carbs on a type 4

thinking of putting 4 Mikuni bike carbs on my type 4 using modded single carb manifolds.
Has it been done before?

Several listers have been using various similar format Mikuni and Keihin TBs for EFI setups, have tracked down and/or made the required adapters in various sizes. Poke around in the engine management forums.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
