i dont see any thing wrong. sounds like your having lots of fun and dont have to look out back to make sure the motor and trans are still there.

and if you had to pick a reason for not going fast enough, you could say money spent. My brother spent some 1200-1300 on his heads back in the early 80's. tack on inflation and you would be spending $2000 and up today. spending $4 a gallon for gas and checking periodic maintenance. More often then not, it cost to go fast. Going faster then the next guy is not always what its cracked up to be. I have been running 12s for a long time. i enjoy pulling back into the pits, get out of the car, walk around back just to make sure the car is not puking, grab another soda, kick back under my canapy, and watch the pro turbo car next to us, thrashing between rounds. I have only had a few times when thrashing was necessary, and its no fun. Sweating, buring your self, gear oil in the hair, or what ever. But now that i am picking up speed, maintenance is now more important between rounds if i want to be competitive. This takes time away for chewing the fat with the specators that come by or the bench racing my fellow racers and I love to get into.
