First post, be gentle......
I’m having my heads machined to raise compression. There is .75-1mm being removed. My question is what is generally regarded as a safe piston to valve clearance? Once they are done I’ll assemble and measure but don’t know what figure I’m looking for!
Engine is 1300 type 1
Scat C45 cam
Cheers,
Clueless.

Re: Valve to piston clearance
Here's an old video that shows the valve/piston clearance details;
It's towards the end..

Isn't the C45 a LOT of cam for a 1300?

Cheers for that. I'd always skipped over that video because its old and a bit fuzzy (bit like me...) but it has some great info in it (not like me...)
C45 works pretty well but then it's not for the road.....
