I bought a new vw steering wheel & since have been thinking of putting a chevy tilt
column in my car.......how can I install a vw steering wheel on a Camaro column?

I have not received a reply so let me change the question.....has anyone installed
a different steering column in their KG?

Well.....if no one has put a GM tilt steering column in a KG I think I will do it.
One could then put a after market wiring harness in their car which would
be a easy way of cleaning up the rats nest w/a E_Z wiring harness.

Don, putting a GM col in anything is pretty easy you might have to shorten one to get the correct length but the tilt addition would be nice. Keep in mind with the EZ wiring harness the front parking lights do not stay on when the headlights are on and will need to be rewired (easy fix).

Depending on your budget Ididit or Flaming River make a good product (new) or 80's and older

There also some tilt setups w/electric power steering built into the column.
(You probably don't want to buy one new though)

With stockish tires probably overkill.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I have been using 69-70 Camaro columns in my street rods, but I think I need a shorter one
for the Ghia........I probably will have to go to a street rod site for help.

The prices have doubled since I built my last one.

Those columns collapse and are easy to shorten if no shifter. I paid 250 for a chrome new one for my 36 but had to do some work on it for it to work correctly

I bought a tilt column, shortened it 6" & have it set in place w/wood boxes.
I just bought a new KGPR steering wheel that I can not use now.

The wiring will all be done thru a hole in the trunk top using a ez wiring kit.
