Need to remove steering wheel on my 1972 Beetle

hope I can find a pic. to post here. I see the bolt on the bottom on the driver-side of the turn signal switch.

my horn only works sporadically when I try to use it. at night sometimes when im driving on low beam my headlights go out. I will have to check to see if I still have running lights. I suspect I do.

when this happens if I flick on the brights, I have light with no problem. this doesnt happen like when im on low beam.

thats why I want to dissassemble the steering wheel. I do want to know what im getting into taking this apart.

I want to make sure I can put this back together and be sure I can spot and fix the problems. sorry cant up load pic. the wheel is covered with a large plastic cover and has the crown inside a circle logo on it. not sure what the logo is. an owl?
