I'm replacing both, it is the main line to pump that I'm concerned about.

The problem with the "good" braid covered hose:
It can look just fine and spew fuel out its side at the same time.
The braid provides some protection, but it hides things too.
You should probably consider replacing all the flex lines with multi-fuel hose.
(They make multi-fuel SAE R7 low pressure fuel hose, lots cheaper than EFI hose rated to 300 PSI)
The one under the tank should be > 12" long to allow the tank to pop up in a frontal crash w/o pulling the hose off.
(there is actually a proper length for that but I have slept since then, mine are ~18"ish long)

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Keeping the fuel tank full. It is best to empty it for safety reasons. It can be done but be safe!Clackety Clack wrote:What is not mvolved in changing the line under the tank.....
