Yeah, I've got 4 boost settings currently, but I should have done billet mains. The builder planned on 1000hp, but didn't really plan on just how much torque my turbo created. It's a GTX3584RS, and we ended up with 924whp, but it probably makes over 800ft/lbs of torque. There was also an issue with the WG being too small for how efficient the turbo is. Ended up with boost creep, and on a very cold night with pump gas I might have overboosted and had detonation that was part of the problem. Hoping the rest of the engine is just fine, just machine in the billet mains and re-assemble and chuck it back in.capsoval wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 11:51 amReally? Broken main caps? How much damage total? Crank and rods okay? What power level was it at when it broke cause I no it’s not always on “kill”....or is it?volkdent wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 10:31 am I used the Samba a lot before I stopped posting, and those pics are still there.
I think I have a valvetrain issue with one cylinder, I'll find out when I pull the motor. Just ended up with suspected broken main caps in my 2JZ swapped E46 Touring, so I'm focusing on getting that thing back before I crack in to the Bug.
