Sorry if this has been asked already, but what was your source for the trigger wheel? I just found out I cant use the Subaru with my DTA engine management.

I used a 36-1 ford wheel as it was the only wheel compatible with the ignition I used. I'm not familiar with DTA but the stock 7 tooth wheel cam be made into a 4-1 by removing some teeth, you can also use a STI trigger wheel which is a 36-2-2-2 (same wheel as the mazda rx8). I happen to have a stock crank sprocket with a 60-2 wheel that was taken off a motor that was being ran on electromotive if that would help you.

In case you wanted to know, the 36-2-2-2 Subaru STI crank trigger wheel part # is 13021AA141. It is about $30.
I found it one day, lost it, and then spent a week trying to find it again....

Re: Carb'd EJ22 into 61 rag
did the pics go missing or is it just my computer acting funny? i just saved all the pics to my pc just the other day, being worried this might happen.
pic of what i am working on. one of the machine shop guys i work with is going to tap all the holes for me, 4x 3/8 npt on the suby manifolds for vacuum ports and 8x 5/16-18 on the flanges for carbs.
i just realized all pics on this site are LINKED, not actually located on this site's server : (

Photobucket images - they wigged out when PB tried to start making everyone give $$ to store their images. Somebody had a software "fix" for this that worked for me. Images show up just fine on my monitor.
I like where you're going on the manifolds. Looks like a very close match-up to the IDF flanges. A little welding, a little grinding and good to go! Just need some throttle bodies and velocity stacks! The IR induction system just looks so right in the back of a Bug - even if it's on a 'Roo!
