It's all in what you want... The beetle trans worked great for me and about $2k less in parts alone, plus much easier swap. Never broke it despite going to 15 PSI boost, making close to 300 hp. I am sure the subie trans would work great as well... but a lot of work and $$$ for marginal benefit for me.

Yeah, that is the guy I sold it to, he sold it again to someone in Atlanta area. I’m holing to see it driving around.
