Mine are pretty close, probably credit card distance-ish. Is your computer installed yet? I just powered mine up and spun the rotors to check out my sensors. I set mine up to hit the tabs on my removable rotors. Are you using the subie computer or MS?panel wrote:Thx, just wondering what the clearance should be ?

Re: VSS (Subaru) and swing axle ?
Ran across an adapter or something that is a VW/Audi part that I had seen a while ago that someone used as a speedo cable coupler on a kit car. I just found another one and am going to open it up and see whats inside. Its a black box about 3" square and it has a connector for a plug on it. The speedo cable(s) connect on each end. Sure looks like some sort of speed sensor. I'll get a part number when I get down to the shop later, but is anyone familiar with what I am talking about?

I suspect it is an O2 sensor counter that would trip a light on the dash every so often to indicate the O2 sensor should be replaced.

did some searches and yeah - thats what it is.....Would have been nice if it was something useful......hmmmmm. But maybe I could modify it to work as the speed sensor.....Will have to revisit that later.

K , got it wired a long time ago but wanted to double check etc. My pinouts say I should be reading 0-5 volt repeatedly displayed when the vehicle is driven( ign on or running) So in the driveway I turned on the IGN and all it reads on the multimeter is 3.06 and 11.50. This seems to be off ?
