Hey chaps,
Who makes a good shortened oil pan. The stock one is causing clearance issues. Or is there a DIY method to gain a few inches of clearance? I have a suby 2.5

Re: Shortened oil pans
Most Subaru builds have made them or had them purchased. Couple of my favorites is here though:

it also depends on the motor mount! the subaru gears mount raises the engine i think 50mm from stock.so no short oil pan needed or at least i didnt need it.the frame rails are lower than the sti oil pan i am running.

I cut one down and made it. It seems to be okay. I would have preferred to get one of the many that I have seen professionally made but they all seem to cost $500 US.

Re: Shortened oil pans
We make the best shortened pan on the market and from what I can see the shortest by over 1" which means a lot when your dragging ya ass.
Same internal capacity as stock and over 15 years without issue.

Anyone make a shortened oil pan that works well for high g maneuvers, i.e. autocross?
