HELP: OBD2 Subaru into VW Bug...No Injector Pulse

Post by kuesteraa »

So, following this guide...http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic ... lug+subaru...I used my stock harness and ECU from a 1996 1.8L impreza. I have what I believe is everything wired, but I have no pulse at the injectors and...no start. Spark is present and appears to be in correct timing (fires and runs smoothly on starting fluid). At my wits end trying to figure out why the injectors wont pulse.

The injectors all have +12V at the yellow wire side, and 0 at the ground side from ECU (voltmeter on plug when disconnected from injector). I have the following wired into the ECU in the correct locations:

-MAF
-TPS
-AIC
-Crank Pos Sensor
-Cam Pos Sensor
-Ignitor
-Coil pack
-All necessary grounds and powers

I have skipped the OBD2 and test connectors for now, going to hook them up later. Not sure if these are necessary to make injectors pulse?

Any info/recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check all computer grounds and all motor grounds is where I would start.

Turns out...bad injectors! They were grey tops (notoriously bad, i hear)...this car has now been running for 500+ trouble free miles.
