kit car body

i was out in the garage in our back yard the other day, and i found something that i had forgotten about lol. it is a 1953 MG TD kit car body, it is fiber-glass. got to talkin to dad about it, he thinks that it would be a nice toy if we put it on an s-10 pick-up frame and made us a little hot rod. has anyone done this kinda build up, and if so what all is involved, cuz it seems as tho it would be pretty straight forward.
