I have a blow through (carbed) 2387 with a modified CB hideaway header... I'd like to fit a wideband to help tune, but am wondering where the best location is?
I understand there are concerns about heat from turbos and also 'air' from the tip. Is one a lesser evil than the other?
Probably near the end of the bend if that clears bodywork.

You can put it on an extension, or even get heat sinked setups, but as noted above it' probably a non issue on a typical ACVW long tube exhaust with a turbo further cooling EGT down. Running too cool throws the accuracy out the window. Some OEM setups have it screw into the turbine housing, so i would not sweat it at all.
BUT:A big issue is it has to point DOWN +/- 45 degrees from vertical, as water is the primary byproduct of combustion, and O2 sensors HATE liquid water. (it can kill them if they are at temp)
Try to put it on the inside of the curve or such where its unlikely to get sprayed down with condensation as badly.

zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
