hi all,
I'm seriously considering converting to FI on my engine below:
AS21 case
.035 deck height, 60cc head cc
Car craft big valve 40/35.5 heads
7.5:1 Compression Ratio
Cb counterweighted forged crank
Thick wall 92 case/94 heads
1835cc
Serpentine belt system from MST
009 with points
J tubes
Holley Fuel regulator
External oil filter
Engle 110 cam
Chromoly pushrods
I have access to some mexi FI kits for cheap but am very concerned that my engine specs would prohibit me from using it without turbo.
Any thoughts/advice on what setup might work best for me? Can I use the mexi FI kit with a megasquirt? Or do I need to go dual TB's?
thanks,
brett

Re: 1835 Fuel Injection Question
From my post on TOS...
Chip B. wrote:I built a mexi'd 2054. Ran very smooth. I had a cross between 110 and 120 cam in it. I drove it NA for 3 or 4 months and then turbo'd it and daily drove it for another 9 months. It drove very nice, coupled with a really small turbo and an intercooler it would probably have beem a fantastic daily driver setup. My goals were for a little more power than it comfortably gave, and so i changed it, but it fit like it was factory, was easy to change spark plugs, and drove super nice. I ran an MS 2 ecu. Worked great.

Re: 1835 Fuel Injection Question
Thanks chip.
My worry is with my low compression, bigger valves and cam that it might have problems.
For example i tried a modded 34p3 with bigger Venturi and it just would not idle less than 1300.
I do appreciate the counsel. What were your heads and compression?
