Pertronix billit distributor

Post by mlrailguy »

Is any body running this distributor? I'm wanting to know about all the different springs and limiters. What do they actually do for the engine? This is all greek to me.

I don't even have a distributor so I can't really help you.
I can program any curve I want with the system I have.

Those spring will allow you to set the rpm that you get full advance and therefore it also sets a curve. Which one is the best would depend on the engine and other factors.

I have a turbo so I adjust the ignition map so I don't get any detonation on boost.
If you use a dyno you can test different curves to see what effect it has on your torque throughout the rpm range.
