ECU spiking problem

Post by Neil65 »

Dear all

My 1988 T25 camper has been laid up in a garage for too long now. I have had a problem with hot starting, which has manifested into over fuelling and an ECU spiking and becoming defunct. Garage has done the basics. The ECU has been refurb x 2 and earths have been replaced. I've also had the alternator checked as that was recommended. I'm back at garage today to test it again. Is anyone out there familiar with this issue. It is a digifuel, 2.1 injection water cooled engine and has been sweet as a nut for 15 years.
Any information would be great.

A bad signal from a control input, bad earth or alternator fault. Alternator has been checked and earths cleaned or changed. Just asking if anyone has had a similar fault.
