Hey all, I'm posting this for a friend. He's the proud owner of a '68 Bug, but it's not a German made model, it was made in Mexico. The car looks more like a '64 with a few '66 parts thrown in to confuse things.
The problem we are encountering with this car is that the back seat base that came with the car doesn't fit. No matter what we do, it can't be wedged in. I noticed at Wolfsburg West that there are sizes, one through '64, another from '65 up. I suspect that the seat he has is from a '65 and later, and the car requires an early seat.
So, my question is, what are the dimension differences between the two seats? Anybody know?
