Lotrat's Budget Baja Build

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Nice! Did the valet make a comment?
He just giggled. Looked like he spends too much time in the sun.

Major set back yesterday. One of the 31" Mud Rovers let go on the freeway...

The 30" retreads are back and in BLACK!

Now that the white wheels are gone I feel like a man again.

it's all your fault, you shouldn't have been going 95 mph...

I can't FING WAIT to see a freeway through a baja windshield again. Looks better with the black rims for sure.

...and i'm sure he was clipping along at least 102...

I don't see any carnage pics, so it must have happened in a school zone.

30-30 = 30 feet or 30 seconds which ever comes first. Looks mucho better in black.

13 months of service, two trips to Superstition, one trip to Ocotillo Wells, 600 miles of flat towing, and 5000 or so freeway miles. I got my money's worth. They didn't fail as bad as those crappy BFG MTs I've seen. No damage. Sorry to let you guys down. The speedo said 75mph with 225/75/15s up front, so whats the real speed?
