Post your location in your profile

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Post your location in your profile

Post by Leatherneck »

You don't have to put your exact location in your profile but it sometimes helps people to answer your question. For example the problems a guy having jetting a carb in the valley in Az is a lot different the guy up in the mountains of Utah or in Oman ( I wish ). Somebody running mountains has a different setup then desert runners.

It also helps to possibly find guys who are close to you who might be able to come over and help or maybe just go riding with. Post your state at least if your worried about some crazy coming to visit you, these days that could happen.

Thanks Danny for bringing it up!

That IS funny that Leather posts this without having his location listed ! HaHa, Seriously though, I've met a couple really good VW guys because they saw my town was near them. Hedrock is only 5 minutes from me ! Having area listed makes it easier to offer assistance and to share speciality tools ,swap parts etc. Plus, since I AM the crazy, I don't worry !

I'm not too worried about crazy people coming and visiting, seeing as I live with two of the crazy people on this forum...

I've met kyle_pc_75, he lives about 45 minutes from me or so, Big Dave lives in the opposite direction around 20 ish minutes (I think).
