“Another Texas Baja” is going to Montana!!!!!

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

If the decision was not forced, and you got what you wanted, you must be very happy. Mixed feeling probably, but you can't ask for much better.

Take what you've learned and run with it.

A big part of me didn't want to sell it and I put what I felt was a big price tag on it to see what would happen. Well we all know the end to that story. Like I said. No haggling.

I have learned a lot and cant wait for the next build. Talked to a guy last night that wants to possibly build a 5 car to race here in Texas. Lets see what happens. My hobby may turn into my career real quick.

That is how an awful lot of successful businesses get started. All it takes is a great product at a fair price.

Or you could do like Enzo Ferrari did, and fleece customers to fund his racing habit :D

How is your lung?

I just re-read the whole thread. Lots of good ideas and nice work.

Thanks Steve.

Davids lung is all healed up and stronger than ever. He has been working down at the sign shop as a apprentice sign electrician with his goal to get his Master License and working on race cars on top of that he just started some college courses. Its go go go for him right now. We are packing up tonight so we can head to west Texas tomorrow to go racing.

Sorry to bring back an old thread (not really) but I have a few questions. first off, I also live in New Braunfels and every now and then used to see this red beast running around, mostly down 46, and have to say it looked great! So, how did you like the roof mounted lights? were they pretty bright compared to say KC hilites? And you said you had to order the front tires direct with some account you had with them, how do us mere mortals go about getting a pair of those 700x15s?

The roof mounted lights where great except for the wind noise. Just as bright and a lot let amps being pulled. Best bang for the buck if you can still find them. My front tires I got direct from BFG through our racers account. From what I understand that is the only way they sell them. You can buy Yokohama's direct but they are pricey in my opinion.

Where did you move too??

I live off Mary boulevard on 46. I agree about the 720s being too expensive I think it's a bit ridiculous to charge $200 a tire for them.

I'm pretty sure that at some point in time we have all given CWA a hard time about not running. Karma has found us.
