Did you turn part of the Tube frame into a engine breather? If so or just an added tube what a friggen good idea.

Yes, We welded some 1/2" tube into that cross bar for the breather hoses to connect to on the bottom side, and one to each end on the top for the filters. Has worked good so far (18 years).

Thanx, I try to keep things easy and fun.petew wrote:Keep up the good work guys.
P.s. I think that shortee kid is death to cars...
Shortie is getting faster with the more races he drives, and he's learning to take care of the car wile driving.
Can't win if you don't finish. I have broken the car more times than I wish to admit.
Shortie has been doing right seat duty with me for about 9 years now, and co-driver in the left seat for about 5.

Re: 936 a reBUILD thread
I think Shortie was surprised I let him drive the last part of course marking in the Wildcat at Wendover, but in fact I was just being selfish. I agree, he seems to have improved quite a bit since I last co-drove for him!

Re: 936 a reBUILD thread
Well, as you all probably know, we (meaning me ) took the ring and pinion out at BAP last month on the start of the third lap on day one.
Finally had some time to go work on the car down at my Dad's house, and now something seams to be missing
oh no, wait, there it is on the floor. Got the trans pulled out and ready to go get rebuilt again.
Found a couple of lumps in the oil when I drained it.
Not as big as last time. Looks like the end of a couple of teeth. Didn't pull the side cover off to see the damage, I think I'll just let my tranny guy do it.
At least I can put a new flywheel seal in the engine (small leak just starting to appear) wile it's out.
May even repair the rear cage wile it's off too.

Don't do it, we need something to hold over Luke's head...BAJA-IT wrote:May even repair the rear cage wile it's off too.

We can't go bigger by class rules, but I'll take stronger and faster please.TimS wrote:Bigger, stronger, faster!

Got the trans back and finally had some time to get it back in the car.
The axles are back in, now I need to get the axle tubes back on, then bearings and packing plates.

Did you see snore was changing class 9 to allow any vw drum in back? Double check, but i think I read that.

They now allow the aluminum hub with VW drum machined to fit. Both SNORE and MORE.

What are you guys using to control these? Something like this?Qurtys Lyn wrote:Did you guys want a demo?

Do you have two controllers, one for each light?
