Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Can I legally hit him this race? Is he racing?
If he's on the course and wont move, I say go for it.
I got the crank pulley back on
and pulled the flywheel, replaced the seal (it did show signs of wear (no pic)) and got the flywheel back on and torqued down.
I can't put the clutch back on until I get it off the engine stand.
Now if I can just get the seals I need from JAZ for the fuel cell.

the engine jumped back into the car last night.
It is all hooked up, ie, wires and oil hoses.
Just need to put the rear cage back on and a few other odds and ends.

I've just read thought most of this thread from the start. Really cool stuff. Winning class honors with a stock motor. Reminds me of my friend I'm building the new buggy with. Told me, "I won a khanacross with a 36hp motor. It was all I had in my garage that ran so I put it in and off I went".
Keep up the good work guys.

I'd forgotten how much this forum is fueled by smart@rse comments.
Plenty more where that came from!
