TMM 2.1

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

You have an open car. I vote solid. In a full bodied baja, that saw considerable commute time bushed.

Mine is solid bellhousing and mid mount.

The only other advice is that I think you are running a fairly heavy combination (compared to an ACVW engine instead of) water-cooled engine and transaxle. As long at there isn't any strain; e.g., flexing coming in at the bolted connections; either the tranny to bell housing or bell housing to engine using either type of mounts you should be OK.

Preferable, the morning variety. It doesn't flex as much.

Are all your mounts solid? I could drill out the top bellhousing mount and sleeve it to make it solid. My nosecone mount is definately getting cut off.
yes all solid. My bellhousing mounts do not have bushings.

Got lucky, turns out I pushed the pinion nut through the pinion bearing, however since I didn't drive it far I did no other damage. Going to upgrade to a Weddle R&P and chromolly nut, otherwise would have been a very cheap repair.

Going to modify the mid mount to a 2 bolt per side solid mount, change the bellhousing top mounts to solid and cut off the existing nose cone mount.

Back together and running.

Working in the garage reminds me how bad normal radio is. Same old used up songs and too many commercials.

Went to Bestbuy and got a bluetooth adapter and that made things sooooo much better. Found a bunch of bands on Pandora I really like, hillbilly hellcats, lots more of the Reverend, cramps, and PDM has been trying to get me to check out hank williams iii, that dude is fricking out there.

Working in the garage? I want my damn garage back so I CAN work out there! Stupid street car body is taking up waaaaay too much space!

I did the Weddle route with my 091, but I did all the internals with their parts.

I prefer Slacker Radio over Pandora. Anything is better than the radio station.

I use Songza. I like it. Likewise, better than Pandora.

Jiu jitsu can be a horrible thing for someone that doesn't know what's going on. U may think I'm trying to hump u but I'm only going to choke u or snap a joint . Good show though bass player is way cool
