Yes, the Subie is so superior to a VW engine its ridiculous. If I was running a Mendeola I could have 400 hp simply by turning up the boost. When I am wearing my headset, I have to look at my tach to see if the engine is running, its soooo smooth. 7K+ redline, and smooth power delivery.panel wrote:Just read all 31 pages in one go..........love the build from beginning to end TMM. I could use more torque, I am used to a 400+ hp V8 as a daily driver, there is no 4 cylinder that could produce enough torque to impress me.

Spoiled a bit huh? I did drive an audi a4 the other day that I was thinking of getting my wife. That car was impressive very very nice. But the more I thought of it at the dealership the more I realized I should wait till we move to a bigger home. So starting the new year we'll be checking out our options for something bigger. Hopefully 4 car garage with rv access on one or 2 sides
I just wanna drive it that's it.

Darn car is broken again.
Ripped a CV boot, or it just failed, not sure which but there's a tear in it and grease all over everything.
Time for a new car.

Wow, haven't been around here in a while. When I saw my thread was way behind Desert Guy's, I knew I had to blow the dust off this thread.
Car is still running, take it out and thrash it every chance I get. Broken the tranny a few times, but other than that and a few shock revalves it's been awesome.
Hope to see some of you guys out in Plaster City or Borrego.

Just kidding man, I really really like the look of this car. Glad to see you out enjoying it. Hope to see it in person someday.

Do you have any of the build pictures you can show? It seems they all disappeared...
Thanks,
