Hey TMM, what about trying some sprayed on red plasti-dip?
It won't last... but its VERY reversible. Maybe even do just one side so you could compare?

Baja5 was right...

Mike just curious but with the original cost of the transmission and the subsequent rebuilds/repairs how far off are you from the cost of a Mendeola or PBS box? Never liked the idea of the bus box and Subaru. When I had the 6 cyl Subaru and bus box I felt like I was always driving on borrowed time. Seems to be your weak link for the amount of hard whoop play you are in to.

Re: TMM 2.1
Hey Papa Smurf, I paid $500 for the box originally, found out it needed a rebuild. Paid about $2800 for that with Weddle stuff minus the R&P. Last year had the R&P replaced with Weddle and that cost me ~$1500, so I'm in this transaxle for ~4,800, call it $5K.
Now I have a tranny that should be able to handle ~300hp, but will break if I make a mistake or beat it too hard. Most likely it will just break after some time. Yes, it does feel like borrowed time in some respects.
Wish I had just gone to a 2d originally.

you really need the red valve stem caps to set the rings off.
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

That must have been fun! Don't think I'd have the energy for that one. Looks good though. I was trying to save you some work. But, I guess when you get to this point your starting to run out of sheet to do.

Not that it really matters....but, I don't like to make the rings stand out. They are not street legal and I don't want them to standout. Again, just my stupid thinking.

That's why mine are plain. I blend right in with traffic and nobody notices me. I think if I painted my rings I would look like a off road car. I'm going for the mild modified Thing look.
