McMaster Carr has some adhesive backed rubber pads that fit perfectly on the end of the 930 axles. I'm not sure how long they will last though. I usually inspect them or put new ones on each race so they only get about 400 miles use each time...

Well, it wasn't the spiders. Just the pinion! Doh! Nothing else hurt. No reason for a Weddle R&P to trash itself in such a short order. Was told just bum luck. Empi 930 CV's look brand new for reference. They live at a comfy 22* max angle so they have it easy compared to some.
