Hey Herbie I use to live in Gerlach, the town about 7 miles from where they hold Burning Man. I have thought about a camp out ride over there and camp to where we can watch the burn but not be a part of BM. My dads ashes are in Gerlach and my best friends ashes are up on top of the biggest mountain around where I left him, a place he loved. I have spent a lot of time over there thru the years

Apparently the burning man who died at Burning Man 2017 was an Oklahoman.... Aarom Michell, 41 died Sunday from burns he received after getting past 2 layers of security and running into the large bonfire.

Toxicology will figure out what type(s) of drugs he was on.

My guess is he stopped in Colorado and got some wacky tabacky.....

Herbie he can now buy wacky tabacky here in Nevada. As of July 1st recreational pot is now being sold in some Reno and Las Vegas dispensaries, so no need to stop in Colorado

My youngest step-son usually goes to Burning man but not this year. He is a nurse and works in the hospital area. I seriously doubt it was wacky-tabacky, it had to be something much stronger or a combination of a lot of stuff.

It is a real mess here in on the left coast. Fires still going on it BC (British Columbia), three fires here in WA, a big one in Bend OR and a bad one in CA. As the sun came up today it was a big dark red ball; I just took the garbage out and it is overhead and it is a bright orange ball with a halo around it. Too bright to look directly at but still there. If it was the day of the eclipse you would barely need to use the special glasses (kidding of course so don't try it).

It is just a bit brighter than dusk outside due to the smoke in the air. Looking across the street you can see the house OK but with a blurry haze to it. Up the street it is like looking through light to medium fog (the colors are different due to the smoke) and there is almost no wind and there is ash falling on the cars. I just went out and looked at my almost a truck and you can barely see through the windshield. (It is black and the ash isn't a powder but larger flakes of ash and you can see some of the larger flakes floating down.) When I opened the garage door the smell of smoke came pouring in. I think they said that there were health warnings out for us elderly and for kids. Being out just long enough to take the garbage out, my clothes now smell like I have been around a campfire for a while.

A day or two more and they (the weather guessers) are thinking that there will be on-shore wind with the possibility of rain and... you guessed it... lightening! Just what we need, more fires.

Not as bad as what is going on down south but it isn't fun either.

I agree, probably something stronger that legal weed.

This fall medical marijuana is on the state ballot here. Oklahoma is pretty conservative but we do have casinos which are run by the Indian tribes so who knows. It will be and interesting November election. Our state is broke and the schools are suffering from it.

While its legal here there are still illegal problems going on. Last night it was the hookah lounge/bars here with some 30 some shots fired and it is not the first time nor just here that this is going on from what I have read.

Alaska had a conviction on synthetic weed in the last few days (http://www.apnewsarchive.com/2017/An-Al ... cd7cc20554).

Sorry but this is not really an off-road topic even though it is off-road in a way.

Just some pondering ive been doing.

Longer arms alone won't give you any more travel. Because the cv can still only drop so much.
So wider arms actually give you more travel because then the given cbc angle allows more drop. But a longer arms shouldn't actually improve travel it just take less angle for the arm to get to that travel.

For the same CV angle, a longer and/or wider arm will provide more travel at the wheel. So, YES, longer arms and wider arms both provide longer wheel travel.

...and bigger cvs allow more angle, allowing more travel for a given arm setup
...CVs include: t1(90mm OD) <t2(100mm)<T4(wider+100mm) <930(huge)<934(really freaking huge)
