Looks good! You're on the home stretch. Keep plugging away and it will be done before you know it.

Just a few update pictures. I have driven it around the block a few times. Working on a rear engine mount, skid plates, and replacing a diagonal in the roll cage that I had to remove when I installed the hanging pedals.

Looks great! Really like the dash and GPS mount. Could you post a close up of the GPS mount?

The GPS is a Lowrance Elite 5M that I bought on Ebay. It has a provision to mount in a cutout on a flat panel. I simply took some 2-inch aluminum angle and relieved on the mounting side to allow mounting. I used 1/4 - 20 rivnuts on the sides to mount it to the Axia GPS cage mounts from Kartek.Looks great! Well it has been a while and I have been plugging away on my project. Attached are a few updated photos. Before anybody starts laying on praises, the roof rack is my design, but it was taken from a few sketches to completion by a buddy of mine who has mad fab skills. He also did the exterior mirrors and the aluminum panels up front.. The plan is to take it out to Plaster City on Saturday for a shakedown cruise. We still have a front skid plate to do plus some other little jobs but she is road worthy right now. Actually drover her to the gas station today to fill up. Good fun!!
The only issue I have is that with the spare tire in place I can't get into my garage (stupid low doorway - old garage made from a former car port). Oh well. . .

can you shorten the exhaust tip? the photo makes it look like it might could maybe possibly get hit or bent?
have fun driving it!

I think that its more an optical illusion than anything else. The tip actually terminates above the level of the bottom of the skid plate. I am not entirely happy with the muffler set-up. The entire exhaust came with the engine which I bought used.bajaherbie wrote:can you shorten the exhaust tip? the photo makes it look like it might could maybe possibly get hit or bent?
