Thanks Tim. Next summer I will have you drive it some, it has been interesting hearing Richards thoughts after he drove it some. I have slowed down on working on it as some other things have come up in life but I am still plugging away on it some too.

I am testing finder fitment and spring settings for ride height, looks like both will pass.

I have been in a flood and my Baja in my shop was under 39 inches of water. We still have no power and my desk top was destroyed. I have pumped out the water in the Baja motor but will not power the computer for a while. Things have not been pretty here, we also had 18 inches of water in my house and we will be cleaning and fixing things for months.

Anyway I thought I would check in, may be a while before I make it back.

Good thing you live in the desert in a very dry state Ed. Might have got wet otherwise!!!!

Bet there are times you'd like to have a bit of that water around. Just not all at once, huh?

The casinos at Primm have a concrete face dirt dyke around the uphill side to keep flash flood water away. Provides a nice jump for the racers to cross. Might be a good idea around your place.

Oh and all joking aside, That's terrible news. If we were all close, I'm sure you'd have more help from this group than you could manage.

Thank you all. We are doing ok, we have spent the last 3 days in the house with no power but we have heat (wood) and water and sewer and my motor home is giving us a 110 extension cord to run the floor drier. Before getting back in here we had the dogs boarded and we stayed in the motor home.

Dusty the dyke by the river held, the problem is the city never closed the storm drains and the water came back up them when the river got high. There are 100 homes that the water got to and not many have people in them now.

We wanted to get rid of stuff and clean up some but this is more than we had in mind LOL. Thanks

Thanks CWB. I have a laptop working off the generator but I can't figure out how to do pics so I can't show you guys.

Herbie we do get snow here but it then rained hard on 4 to 5 feet snow. A dam over by Wells that dumps into the Mary's river sent extra water our way. The city then did not plug the storm drains and it flooded 8 blocks of town. There are many people that are homeless now.

In this pic it is from my house looking at my shop with the Baja in it. The water got higher than this, it was half way up the lower orange locker door to the left or about 4" above the window level. Under the blue tarp are my 4 motorcycles that I ride and they were all under water

We are back in the house but we have tons of work to do. We have power again so things are looking up sort of.

I hope this short story helps you feel a little better about your situation. Back in 93, during one of the 3 500 year floods I have seen here, the news crew was flying in a copter showing all the flooding. They zoomed in on a farmer sandbagging on a levee about 150 yards up from his house. They had been thru this before and had located all of their belongings on the second floor of the house to protect it. The house was less than 100 feet from the levee. On live tv, the levee topped directly behind their house. In less than 60 seconds the house with everything they owned was washed away.
