Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Negative ghostrider.

But it is never a bad idea to have one ready to go.

I should probably have mine serviced at some point.

That was one of Herbies first questions to me... "Where is the fire extinguisher?". Right after he drilled holes in my cage and assessed my secondary door latches.

Yeaup, I noticed that about once every hour. Good thing my door was positively latched.

I also had one in the Baja. Need to get the next set of mounts made so I can make it semi permanent.

I was telling my friend Ken about the trip and all things that we broke and fixed. As I told him the part about being in Cedar City and we heard on the radio Carl needed a drill for his track bar repair and I had one and bits with me BUT Richard and I both challenged and we could not find the AutoZone for quite some time. Ken suggested to me that I get Tim to make me a special GPS file that also has all the part stores on the trip in it so I will know where to go :? . After thinking about it he might as well add welding shops

I had actually started on that journey, Google searched shops and planned to call and get contact numbers for weekends, but I was more concerned about tire repairs. Life got busy and halted that, though.

Good thoughts for future trips in areas where we will be on a Sunday.

How many carry a snake bit kit? Maybe, Ed, should give us all an in-service on handling snakes, too.
