Just worked out that way. Not intentional. Anyway, you better get back to Mrs. Bajaherbie and your 81's, you crazy kids.

Here's the good, original, wide arms and the new ones for comparison. You can see how I had to extend the trailing tube, prior to the bend, to keep from rubbing the tire. Timing and fitting bungs now.

Looks good, did you leave a gap for expansion and contraction? Seriously that looks good.

Cut to length. Bungs rosette welded in place. 7/8 spindle bungs took some work to get them to work, given the overall length I wanted and the presence of the joint. Had to remove some material from the shoulders so they would fit further in the tube. So, played it safe and overall reduction is 5.5". That will (should) get me to a track width of 94-94.5" in the front w/ 10.5" tires.

Not tonight. Will drill lower chassis tabs and bulkhead for the 7/8 heims Sunday, mount arms and check clearance once I dial in the settings. Then I'll make mods, if any, and go from there.

Re: Here We Go: Desert Dynamics Build ( Desert Dynamics Sucks )
Not pretty, but it will hold. Tig'd a weld washer to the lower a-arm bulkhead bolt holes as had to drill out the holes from 5/8 to 3/4 for the larger 7/8 heirs. 7/8 heirs have roughly double the static load capacity over 3/4 heims. Since I have to room, I'm going all 7/8 heirs on the lowers, as opposed to 3/4 chassis heims as they come from the builder.

Weld washers on right side in place. Going to have to finish inner bulkhead ones with a mig as just can't get in there. Before I continued with the arms, I needed to mock then up to make sure I'm in the ballpark. Home run.
