Tires

Post by chuckput »

Unscientific poll.

What are you guys running for tires? I am currently running Yokohama Super Diggers on the rear that may need replacing soon and I want to get several takes on what works and what doesn't. I am looking for something that will work well in my southern California low desert terrain and a decent on the street (there is no such thing as a perfect tire :D ).

What size are you set up to run?

I really liked the BFG muds on the rear and AT's on the front of mine. Pretty inexpensive and available everywhere....well not the 9.50 I had on the front.

JT1967 runs the muds front and rear on his redhead in a 33x10.50

I have switched to the Baja 35 so we will have to see on those?
It is not Mickey Moused.....It's Desert Engineered!

The rears are 33 x 10.50 - 15 and the fronts are 7.00 - 15. I have been toying with moving the Super Digger Yokos to the front once I get the power steering done. I have seen a lot of guys running General Grabber Red Letters, so I have been looking at those. I would like to stay in the 33 x 10.50 range.

I am curious too, looking at both 33x10.5 and 35x10.5...

I went from 31x10.50s to the 33x10.50s and actually liked the change they caused to the gearing. I think if I went to 35s I might be pushing my luck.
