Cool. I'm close to pulling the trigger. Just have to decide on pistons and cam.

I love the cam in my 1915cc. It’s a SL1 Racing r304. I’ve used it in 2 engines and set 7 land speed records with it. It was nice on the street too. Started building boost as soon as you shifted to 2nd gear and pulled hard to 7500. .521 lift and 304 duration.

I think I'm going to send my case to Paradise Motorsport. I may pick their brains too!

I have parts from Shag and Paradise as well. Pleased with both of them.

Great to hear you are making progress, I am a small cam guy but it all depends how much you like low end torque. The turbo will add at least 500 rpm to your usable power range, remember that Clonebug is running a W100 and making very good power. The best advice that I have heard and would like to relay is "If you like a cam NA, you will love it with boost".
Good Luck

Yes, Shag set me up with the cam and 2 turbos for different engines. Everything has been spot on from him.

Yeah my biggest hurdle with the cam is I have only run stock stuff. So none of them are familiar to me. Seems like .450" - .500" lift and 250° - 260° @ 50 duration is around average.

I don’t even try anymore. I just tell Shag what I am doing and let him send me the cam and lifters.

Ok I spoke with Mark at CB. He didn't make this much better though. Basically said the Panchito was good and would run the coolest. Mini wedge, wedge, or even super pro (all round port I believe) are a beefier head that would make more power and might handle boost better with the option of more work down the road if I wanted. I got the feeling he was leaning toward the regular wedge heads over the others. He also said they come with a 69cc chamber that would keep my compression down a little. Also recommended a 2292 cam which basically is a FK10. I believe that's what madmike suggested a long time ago too. Try to keep compression around 8 - 8.5:1 with 1.25 rockers.
I have never had much feedback from CB before but Mark seemed super willing to spend some time talking to me today. That was helpful.
I also called and spoke to Jason at Paradise about doing my case work. He said with 10 pounds of boost to just run AA pistons but if I was going to get into the teens or more with boost he would use Cima/Mahle.

Yours is always in the back of my mind. But I wonder if there is any fact to it. I wouldn't mind spending a bit more on pistons if it provides any insurance. This build is getting expensive and I don't want to chop it up with a flopping rod!
And I have a feeling I will never be boosting like you. My compression is just going to end up being too high for those sort numbers.

Intake temp management is the key along with ignition control.

It will be even more important for you once you fire up that expensive stroker....

Save some money for EFI, ignition control and IAT management.......

Oh I have lots of things to save money for! Once it's built it will be running low low boost. Next will be the trans. Then I will move to FI.
I should put a temp sensor in my intake near the head to get some idea where it's at. Just out of curiosity.
