With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

The driver and owner of the rail is a friend of mine(buggyrutger). I just did the MS build and programming and some exhaust welding for him. He sure knows how to entertain the crowd, hahaha! Make sure to come over to the slalom next EBI (we do the timing there  )

It was only a 7.40, I don't have any real drive time on it and the computer is still adjusting to the fuel. It really started to pull at the end of third gear.

Here is an onboard video in my 1776cc EFI turbo 1302s bug. A little uneventful (sorry  ), so if you want to skip the boring stuff go straight to around 5.25 mins where I finally get enough clear road to press the load pedal!

It's running a water / air intercooler, TD04l turbo on adapted CB header, 380cc injectors, Ford Edis ignition, 48mm throttle body, CB end castings (opened out a little and matched ports to head). 21psi boost gives 194BHP / 222lb's torque.

The video doesn't really give the little 1776 motor credit. It's a nice quick street motor.
I suppose you can try to measure its ability by watching the speedo needle:

Two little dinky videos. One is a slow car going slowly and the other is a video of the goofball who owns said slow car being all excited he finally has a tachometer!
