Since you will want a boost gauge, run one vac line to the front and Tee it to the reg and FP gauge. 1/8" vinyl tubing, then you can slip your 1/4" right over it.

Re: Type 1 twin screw supercharger build
So, life takes a change and this project must be put on hold.
Sigh, the company I have worked for since 94 will not be in existance tomorrow.
I am starting my own company, but must pour all my assesets into it and figure
it will be at least fall and maybe longer before the company will have paid back
and I am actually making a profit to be able to spend money on foolish projects.

Man that's bad news about the company but you will soon find that there's nothing sweeter than working for yourself.
Like the old saying goes - "when a door closes, a window opens". Good luck to you with your new venture!

Re: Type 1 twin screw supercharger build / 6 yrs later I'm back at it
Well it's been a wild ride with the new company.
And life has certainly thrown in it's share of surprises at me.
Our Daughter was diagnosed with MS and had to move back home 3 years ago.
Our teenage Grandson has been staying with us on and off because......well he is a teenage boy.
But now after over 6 years dormant I started working on it again.
Got the fuel lines finished up weekend before last and ran the intercooler plumbing last weekend.
Here is what the poor thing looked like after sitting for over 6 years:
And a little of the fuel plumbing that I finished up:
Forgot to take any intercooler plumbing pics.
I am so glad I started this thread with a list of items I'd be using because I half forgot the specs of most of it.

Welcome back. Pleased to see you're back into it!
P.s. I think you dropped your keys in the last pic.

The darn engineer didn't leave much room above the hex head cap screws that clamp the injector holders together.
So I was looking for the allen key that I had cut most of the short end off of way back when.
Didn't find it so I ground another one down.
Now I remember what a PITA that chore is.

Water intercooler radiator in front of fuel tank & oil cooler behind fuel tank. Probably overkill since I plan on running E85 but the oil has a thermostic bypass and thermostatic fan, and I'll run the intercooler fan most likely off IAT so no harm.

Do you have heavy valve springs? I've heard oil temp is more friction based than combustion temp based. I don't see much difference in oil temp when switching from e85 to gas.Alexander_Monday wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:21 pm Water intercooler radiator in front of fuel tank & oil cooler behind fuel tank. Slow due to work load. Did finish up fuel system, intercooler plumbing, and backfire relief valve. Working on oil breather and return line from supercharger gear case. Working on programming a touch display with alarms for 4 EGT, 4 CHT, oil pressure, voltage, boost, A/F ratio, and other misc things to monitor this weekend since it is terribly cold in the garage.

Work and life once again took most all my time but I'm back at it again. At the wiring stage currently. Figured I'd just keep going as I can and post when I get it actually fired up finally.
