They aren't costly to rebuild, just about the same price for bearings, Pistons and such.

Man, with the price of ACVW parts here, a 2.2 Subaru + turbo, is a very tempting proposition here. It would bolt straight up. Just need a radiator... Dang, I have to talk myself outta this! :(

Figuring out where and how to mount the radiator is probably the most difficult part of the whole conversion.

I was against cutting anything off my car in the beginning, but once I realized that it wouldn't really be seen and it was only one piece I could reattach later if I changed my mind.. I went ahead with it.

Considering there really isn't a lot of how to on the web for doing such a conversion, makes it a little challenging and scary to do for some. Once you do it, you'll be glad you did and wondered what it was you were so afraid of.

Its not a bad swap, pretty easy.

Subarus are everywhere, jdm motors all over the place.

Parts of plenty.

Price wise i think its a great budget swap.

Man a ej20x or ej20y is a tad under a grand. Comes with a twin scroll turbo......

An ej257/ej255 factory new shortblock is 1800. Not bad

I've already got one radiator under my car. One more wouldn't be much different.

I'd have to cut the spare tyre bay out to fit an engine radiator, but yeah. Here's the one for the intercooler...
