yeah some learning curve! can make some big boost at low stress levels for the turbos, the way i look at it is a turbo compresses via ratios. so if its a 2:1 for eg, feed in atmospheric and you get 1 bar over atmosphere, but ram 1 bar over atmosphere in there and its pumping out 4bar....

will need some stout boost control!!

This isn't the first compound setup in a bug. Wally did it years ago on his 1200 challenge setup. The engine didn't last long, had a bearing failure or something like that and the project got shelved. I have a friend that has a dragster with a very similar setup. He has a bypass valve between the turbos in case the big unit starts moving too much air. It hasn't run down the track yet.

Love it! Can't wait to see drag vids. I always thought using a short cut through the shroud was a space saving method. Glad to see it being done.

I figure that the fuel and ignition systems can support it, the turbo system should easily support it. I can cool hot pressurized air in 2 different ways, and the bottom end should be pretty stout too. Why not put it to work and see what comes from it.

I don't know that I'll keep the through the shroud intake on version 2.0. It looks cool, and packages nice, but it sure makes working on things a chore. I've had it this was for 6 years now, i think its about time for some reconfiguring.

Maybe V bands instead of flanges on both sides of the shroud.

I have a silicone coupler on the back side. The 4 bolts into the shroud work fine enough. Just tight to work behind the shroud.

No decklid, no apron. Figured the draw through guys would appreciate it

I'll redo all of the plumbing later, I intend to hide it all.

I remember your old setup. I actually mentioned it a few posts before this one. I hope it gives good results. Not a big deal either way, its pretty easy to swap back to the big single or even the little subie setup if i need to. It'll be a fun test either way.
